Starting Out
I can’t remember when I first became interested in photography. It seems to have been with me for ever.
I remember purchasing my first SLR form a friend in the 1970s - it was something from East Germany, had definitely seen better days and seemed to have a character (and mind) of its own.
Better Things
With the arrival of my first “serious” camera, a Canon A1, I started to get close to the results I wanted even though, at that time, I had to rely on film laboratories for the processing, enlargements, etc. I dabbled with APS but it never seemed to fulfil its promise.
Digital Age
Thank heavens for PCs, photo-processing software and digital cameras. Most, if not all, of the examples in this site have been taken digitally. Most have also had some work done on them on the PC. I believe the results to be very effective.
